WASHINGTON (October 7, 2025) – The Howard University women's volleyball team will host University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Wednesday (Oct. 8) at 6 p.m., inside The Burr. The Bison will then hit the road for a pair of conference matchups this weekend, facing North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Friday (Oct. 10) at 6 p.m., in Durham, N.C., before taking on South Carolina State University (SCSU) Sunday (Oct. 12) at 1 p.m., in Orangeburg, S.C.

MATCHUP PREVIEWS
HOWARD
HU (8-6, 2-2 MEAC) is looking to regain momentum after falling short in a five-set battle (3-2) against the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Sunday (Oct. 5).
Senior
Leah Reeves (Allen, Texas) earned MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Setter of the Week after standout performances in two conference matchups against Delaware State and UMES. Over the weekend, she totaled 89 assists, 16 digs, five service aces and two blocks. Reeves capped off the stretch with 45 assists in Sunday's contest against the Hawks.
UMBC
UMBC (4-9) is looking to maintain momentum after winning against Bryant University (Oct. 5).
Junior Outside Hitter Jalynn Brown powered the offense with a match-high 18 kills and 11 digs for a strong double-double performance, leading the Retrievers comeback victory.
NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL
NCCU (4-12, 1-3 MEAC) aims to regain momentum, following a setback against Coppin State Sunday (Oct. 5).
Senior Outside Hitter Kamren Harper led the Eagles with a team-high 15 kills and 13 digs, recording her second double-double of the season.
SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
SCSU (3-13, 0-3 MEAC) looks to bounce back after falling to Coppin State Monday (Oct. 6).
Senior Robyn White led the Bulldogs with 12 kills and one block, providing a strong offensive presence.
LAST TIMEOUT
Friday (Oct. 3), the Bison won a five-set showdown at Delaware State. Two days later (Oct. 5), they came up short in a hard-fought five-set battle against Maryland Eastern Shore.
