WASHINGTON (October 28, 2026) - Howard University women's volleyball returns to the road Thursday, Oct. 29, traveling to Dover, Delaware, to face Delaware State University (DSU) at 6 p.m., in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) matchup.

HOWARD
 
Howard enters Thursday's matchup with a 7-14 overall record (6-3 MEAC).
 
Freshman outside hitter Addison Buckner (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) leads the Bison attack, coming off a 24-kill performance against Morgan State (Oct. 25).
 
Senior middle blocker Zenai Jethroe (Dallas) added 15 kills in that contest while sophomore setter Alexys James (Houston) recorded a double-double (36 assists & 10 digs).
 
Senior setter Sydnei Jones (Bridgeville, Pa.) contributed 31 assists and junior libero Camryn Shelton (Charlotte, N.C.) led the defense with 31 digs.
 
The Bison will look to build on their previous meeting with Delaware State when Howard earned a 3-1 victory in D.C. (Oct. 1).
 
DELAWARE STATE
 
Delaware State enters the matchup with a 15-8 overall record (6-3 MEAC). Most recently, the Hornets swept South Carolina State, 3-0, (Oct. 25), winning all three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-12.
 
Aaliyah Mitchell led Delaware State with 10 kills in the sweep while Courtney Nix recorded 16 digs and four service aces.
 
Paige Ahakuelo contributed 20 assists.
 
The Hornets will look to maintain their momentum at home as they face Howard for the second time this season.
 
LAST TIMEOUT

Howard fell to Morgan State, 3-2, Sunday (Oct. 25) at Burr Gymnasium.
 
After dropping the first two sets, the Bison rallied to win the third set, 26-24, and the fourth, 31-29, before Morgan State claimed the deciding set, 15-6.
 
Rookie libero Lauryn Wiley (Pearland, Texas) contributed seven service aces.
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
 
Howard continues MEAC play Sunday, Nov. 1, hosting the University of Maryland Eastern Shore at 1 p.m., inside Burr Gymnasium.
