Men’s Soccer Held Scoreless in Home Match versus Le Moyne

Simmons leads attack with three shots in conference battle

WASHINGTON (October 2, 2025) – Howard University men's soccer returned home to Greene Stadium for a midweek matchup against Le Moyne but came up short in a 2-0 decision.

The loss dropped the Bison to 1-8-1 (0-2 NEC) while the Dolphins rose to 2-7 (1-1 NEC) on the year.

Le Moyne opened the scoring in the 19th minute when they turned a well-placed pass into a goal in the lower left corner, 1-0.

Building on their momentum, the Dolphins doubled their lead near the 31st minute, converting a penalty kick, 2-0.

Despite the early setbacks, Howard regrouped defensively and held Le Moyne scoreless for the remaining hour of play.

In goal, Ireal Wyze-Daly (Ontario, Canada) turned in a solid performance, finishing the night with six saves. His steady presence kept the match from slipping further out of reach, particularly in the second half when Le Moyne pushed to extend its lead.

On the offensive end, the Bison created chances but could not capitalize. Zach Simmons (Rockwall, Texas) led Howard in shot attempts, putting two of his three total shots on frame. Naim Robinson (Detroit) also took three shots as part of a second-half push to generate momentum.

As a result, Howard ended the night with 10 shots total, four on target, showing moments of offensive intent despite the score line.

Next up, the Bison hit the road for a conference clash at Mercyhurst Sunday (Oct. 5). Kickoff is set for noon in Erie, Pa.
