WASHINGTON (October 2, 2025) – The Howard University women's volleyball team resumes conference play with two more matchups, beginning Friday (Oct. 3) at 6 p.m., against Delaware State University (DSU) in Dover, Del. The Bison return home Sunday (Oct. 5) to face Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) at 1 p.m., inside The Burr.

HOWARD
HU (7-5, 1-1) is looking to maintain momentum after a five-set victory over Morgan State Sunday (Sept. 28), 3-2.
Senior
Rya McKinnon (Hoover, Ala.) powered Howard's offense with a dominant performance, producing a game-high 27 kills. Freshman
Alexys James (Houston) notched her first-career triple-double, finishing with a team-best 29 assists, 14 kills and 10 digs.
DELAWARE STATE
Delaware State (5-11, 1-1) is looking to keep momentum after winning against South Carolina State (Sept. 28).
Senior outside hitter Gerren Tomlin powered DSU's attack with a match-high 21 kills on a .515 hitting percentage.
MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE
UMES (5-10, 2-0) is looking to stay consistent after securing back-to-back conference wins this past weekend (Sept. 26 & 28) over South Carolina State and North Carolina Central.
Sophomore middle blocker Lilliana Montes led the way for UMES across both victories, finishing the weekend with 23 kills and six total blocks.
LAST TIMEOUT
Friday (Sept. 26), the Bison came up short in a hard-fought five-set battle against Coppin State. They quickly bounced back, outlasting Morgan State in another thriller five-set showdown Saturday (Sept. 28).
