EASTON, Mass. (September 19, 2024) – Howard University women's soccer team fell in its conference opener at Stonehill College (SC), 3-0.

Melea Earley (La Mirada, Calif.) and two-time Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week
Mimi Richards (Silver Spring, Md.) led the charge with three shots apiece.
Stonehill (2-7, 0-1 NEC) pounced on the Bison early, scoring within the first 60 seconds, thanks to goal from Hannah Anselmo, 1-0.
After taking a 1-0 halftime lead, the Skyhawks doubled their advantage with Anselmo finding Erin Foley for first goal of the year, 2-0.
Nearly five minutes later, Anselmo added an insurance goal to put the contest out-of-reach, 3-0.

Trinity Knox (Atlanta) ended the afternoon with three saves.
On Sept. 26, Howard will be hosting at Green Stadium for its league home opener against Le Moyne College. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
