WASHINGTON (June 27, 2024) - During his time in undergrad at Howard University,
Endor Cooper was a SBN Black College All-American while earning 2008 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Preseason Defensive Player of the Year honor. Endor is currently ranked third in the MEAC record book for achieving five sacks in a single game versus Bethune Cookman (November 11, 2006).
In 2009, he received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering while meshing his passion for technology with his equally strong love of football. Cooper's value of building community through teamwork continues outside of Greene Stadium.
Currently, he serves as a football coach to student-athletes in the Northern Virginia area and a Deputy Director in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection with a specialization in program management, application development and cyber security.
During his time as a coach, Endor has been able to successfully support over 50 former high school student-athletes on their path to college. His dedication extends beyond the field as he also mentors these young men, providing guidance on academics, college experience and even life skills. Nothing makes him prouder than seeing his former players achieve their goals in life.
When he is not on the field or navigating challenges in I.T., Cooper is traveling with his loved ones. He is married to Howard alumna and lifelong educator,
Candice Cooper (Class of 2008), who was a starting infielder for the Howard softball team (2005-2008) and a member of the 2007 MEAC Championship squad. Both, Candice and Endor, enjoy spending time with their boys, Neiko and Khylen.
They look forward to sharing with their boys their passion for Howard, a place where they began their love story, which helped shape them to be the strong leaders of today.
