WASHINGTON (April 20, 2024) – Howard University men's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 4-3 victory over rival Morgan State (MSU) on Senior Day at Banneker Recreation Center.
With the win, HU (5-10, 2-3 MEAC) locked up the No. 4 seed in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tournament.
Howard won two-out-of-three in doubles competition, taking a 1-0 match lead.

Justin Cadeau (West Orange, N.J.) and newcomer
Michael Major, Jr. (Nassau, Bahamas) served as the club's top doubles team, defeating MSU's Mikeal Carpenter and Makkijha Brown, 6-2.
Seniors
Hassimiyou Dieng (Dakar, Senegal) and
Gabe Knowles (Allentown, Pa.) came away victorious in their final home matchup, topping Morgan State's Bertin Karenzi and Jaeden Patterson, 6-4.
In singles play, Cadeau and Major picked up tough, three-set victories while junior
Daniel Dunac (Washington) won in straight sets over Brown (6-4, 6-4).
On Senior Day, Howard Director of Tennis
Nicholas Askew and the program honored Cadeau, Dieng, Knowles and
Pierce Westbrook (New Orleans) before the match for their hard work and dedication to Howard Athletics.
On April 25-27, Howard goes to Cary, N.C., for the MEAC Championships.
