BALTIMORE (April 15, 2024) – Howard University women's tennis team rolled past Coppin State (CSU), 5-1, at UMBC Tennis Courts in Baltimore.
Win the win, HU moved back to .500 (9-9) while improving to 3-2 in league play.

Zach Tobias slotted four freshmen Bison against the Eagles.
Newcomer
Sofia Lindholm (Sarasota, Fla.) highlighted the bunch, winning her first collegiate singles match over CSU's Alison Azarak in straight sets (6-2, 6-4).
Classmate
Lauren Oliver (Winston-Salem, N.C.) also won her singles contest in two sets (6-0, 6-3).
Howard grabbed the early match lead with a pair of victories in doubles competition.
All-MEAC selection junior
Sifa Butcher (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) and freshman
Dana Hall (Miami) served as the club's top doubles team, knocking off Coppin State's Azarak and Megan Etienne, 6-1.
Oliver and first-year Bison
Ava Chambers (Wellington, Fla.) secured a 6-1 doubles victory over the Eagles' Kenyange Kaounde and Emperess Johnson.
Saturday (April 20) marks Senior Day as the Bison take on Morgan State in the heart of D.C., at the Banneker Recreation Center. First-serve is slated for 1 p.m.
