NORFOLK, Va. (March 6, 2024) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its men's basketball weekly honors where Howard University junior guard
Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) garnered his sixth Defensive Player of the Week award this season. The announcement came Tuesday.
In the victories over Maryland Eastern Shore (March 2) and Delaware State (March 4), Harris averaged 19.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals. In Princess Anne, he produced a double-double (16 points & 10 boards) with two blocks. Two nights later versus the Hornets, the New York native notched 23 points and eight rebounds.
Harris leads the league in field goal percentage at 57-percent.

Jordan Hairston (Fairfax, Va.) earned honorable mention after accumulating 43 points, five rebounds, six assists and four steals during the two-game span.
North Carolina Central's Fred Cleveland, Jr., was named MEAC Offensive Player of the Week while Delaware State guard Deywilk Tavarez was selected Rookie of the Week.
Howard closes out the regular season Thursday (March 7) at first place Norfolk State. Game time is 9 p.m., live on ESPNU.
