ORLANDO, Fla. (March 6, 2024) – Howard University men's tennis squad wrapped up its annual Spring Break rodeo with a tough 7-0 loss to undefeated Keiser (5-0).
Senior
Justin Cadeau (West Orange, N.J.) and rookie
Michael Major, Jr. (Nassau, Bahamas) served as the club's top doubles team, but fell to Keiser's (KU) Didrik Liljekvist and Soufiane El Mesbahi, 6-4.
KU won the other two double matches and took a 1-0 match advantage entering singles play.
In singles competition, third-year Bison and All-MEAC selection
Marcel Dawson (Columbus, Ga.) fought, but dropped a tough two-set contest to El Mesbahi (2-6, 1-6).
Keiser won the other five singles contests in straight sets.
Wednesday (March 13), HU (1-6) returns to action when they travel to Baltimore to face Loyola (Md.). Match time is set for 3 p.m.
