BOSTON (February 3, 2024) – Howard University track & field program closed out its Northeast road swing at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational, hosted by Boston University.
 
Second-year Bison 
Andre Prince (Windsor, Conn.) led the way, finishing fourth overall in the weight throw (17.10 meters).
 
On the women's side, reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week fifth-year Bison 
Erin Hatcher (Silver Spring, Md.) placed seventh in the weight throw, tossing over 55 feet (16.87 meters).
 
Sophomore 
Ija Mumford (Winston-Salem, N.C.) competed in the triple jump, leaping more than 39 feet (11.89 meters) while earning fifth place.
 
On the track, DMV native junior 
Tiffani-Rae Pittman (Bowie, Md.) took seventh in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 24.05.
 
For the men, senior sprinter 
Noah Langford (Portsmouth, Va.) earned 10
th overall in the 400-meter dash with a 48.65 time.
 
On Feb. 9-10, HU travels to Chicago for the Wisconsin Windy City Invitational, hosted by the Badgers.
