CHICAGO (February 10, 2024) – Howard University men's track & field squad wrapped up the regular season with a strong showing at the Windy City Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin in Chicago. The two-day event (Feb. 9-10) took place at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Indoor Track & Field Facility.
Senior
Noah Langford (Portsmouth, Va.), junior
Jamar Bailey (Bolingbrook, Ill.), sophomore
Andre McKinney, Jr. (Moreno Valley, Calif.) and newcomer
Emerson McKindra (Linden, N.J.) capped off Saturday with the 4x400 relay, earning fifth overall (3:14.93).
Individually, Langford ran a qualifying time of 8.24 in the 60-meter hurdles.
Senior
Zachary Hawkins (Lithonia, Ga.) and rookie
Otto Laing (Freeport, Bahamas) also competed in the short hurdles, each making the finals with prelim times of 7.99. In the final round, Hawkins claimed fourth place (7.92) while the Bahamian took sixth (7.97).
On Feb. 18-20, HU heads to Virginia Beach, Va., for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.
