MIAMI (December 15, 2024) – Howard University men's swimming & diving team had a pair of Bison compete at the CSCAA Open Water Championships in Miami.
 
Junior Ty Triche (Humble, Texas) and freshman Jalen Stewart (New Castle, Del.) represented Bison Nation in South Florida.
 
Triche put on a show, recording a new program record with a 1:14:09.35 time. For Stewart, the first-year Bison produced a 1:24:54.21 mark.
 
Saginaw Valley State's Ben Wainman won the race (1:00.41.97), followed by Texas A&M's Max Vega Cuevas (1:01:10.47).
 
On Jan. 15, HU returns to the pool for a duel meet at Towson. First race at 4 p.m.
