SYRACUSE, N.Y. (October 27, 2024) – Le Moyne College scored a pair of goals in the opening period to down the Howard University men's soccer team, 2-0.
With the setback, HU dropped to 2-2-1 in league play (2-8-3 overall).
At the 29-minute mark, Le Moyne grabbed the upper hand after a score by Ziad Abdul-Malak, 1-0.
Nearly five minutes later, Justin Pham found Victor Boje Henriksen for the Dolphins' second goal on the afternoon, 2-0.
HU clapped down on the defensive end after intermission, holding the Dolphins to only three shot attempts, but unable to get on the board offensively.
Overall, three different Bison took a shot: senior forward
Bryson Baker (Ellicott City, Md.); redshirt sophomore
Troy Matingou (Round Rock, Texas) and freshman defender
Kuba Cihak (Prague, Czech Republic).
Defensively, redshirt freshman
Liam Keiller (Gaithersburg, Md.) tallied four saves in the loss.
Howard returns to The Mecca for a two-match homestand, starting Thursday (Oct. 31) against FDU. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., inside Greene Stadium.
