Women's Soccer Marks Fifth Shutout in Draw

Garcia-Terrell leads with two shots on goal

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (October 17, 2024) – Howard University women's soccer team posted its second scoreless stalemate of the season Thursday evening when they took on Wagner in Staten Island, N.Y.
 
With the draw, HU moved to 5-4-5 (4-1-1 NEC) while the Seahawks dropped to 5-4-6 (4-1-2 NEC).
 
Working to put the Bison on the board, standout freshman Gabriella Garcia-Terrell (Centreville, Va.) led the charge with two shots on goal in 84 minutes.
 
Atlanta native and reigning NEC Goalkeeper of the Year Trinity Knox collected six saves while facing 16 shots in her fourth shutout of the season.
 
The Bison return to action Sunday, October 20 at noon when they host Central Connecticut in their Alumni Day game.
