BALTIMORE (September 3, 2023) – UMBC scored a pair of second half goals to down the Howard University men's soccer team, 2-0, in Baltimore Sunday night in front of over 1,000 spectators.
Both squads were unable to find the back of the cage in the first 45 minutes of play. UMBC (3-0-1) outshot the Bison, 12-3, before intermission.
After halftime, neither club could grab the upper hand until Kofi Amoah found Alek Wroblewski and put UMBC ahead at the 69-minute mark, 1-0.
Less than 10 minutes later, the Retrievers' Loc San added an insurance goal, thanks to an assist by Tyquan Stroud.

Peter Gansallo (Bowie, Md.) led the squad with three shot attempts.

Benjamin Hoesli (Bern Switzerland) gave HU a chance, blocking 10 shots in a losing effort.
On Sept. 12, the Bison return from a long layoff to battle North Carolina State. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
