WASHINGTON (September 10, 2023) – Howard University women's soccer team looks to keep the momentum going as they travel to Petersburg, Va., to face Virginia State (VSU) in its final tune-up before league play. Match time is set for 5 p.m.

Currently, the Bison are riding a two-match win streak after knocking off crosstown rival George Washington Thursday (Sept. 7), 2-1.

Trinity Knox (Atlanta) has registered 31 saves on the season, which ranks tied for fourth in the conference.
VIRGINIA STATE
VSU enters Monday's clash with 1-1 overall mark. After dropping their season opener against Belmont Abbey, 14-0, the Trojans rebounded with a 4-0 victory over Sweet Briar. Alana Martin led the way with a pair of goals.
Virginia State is led by Anthony Andrews, who is the program's inaugural head coach.
LAST TIMEOUT
Thursday (Sept. 7), HU slipped by the George Washington Revolutionaries at GW Soccer Field, 2-1.
Earley led the Bison attack with both goals in the victory.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Sept. 14, HU hosts Delaware State in its conference opener. Match time is slated for 7 p.m. at Greene Stadium on NEC Front Row.
