EASTON, Mass. (April 15, 2023) – Howard University women's lacrosse team scored early, but was unable to slow down Stonehill, falling to the Skyhawks, 24-5.
Stonehill opened the contest with a 5-0 run until senior
Quai Skeete-Ridley (New Carrollton, Md.) ended HU's scoring drought, thanks to an assist from newcomer

Madison Joines (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and rookie
Berkeley Clayborne (Highland Park, Ill.) continued the momentum with a pair of goals and closed the gap to two, 5-3, but the Skyhawks responded with a quick 4-0 spurt and took a six-goal lead after one, 9-3.
Stonehill continued to put the pressure on, outscoring the Bison 8-1 in period two while taking a commanding 17-4 halftime lead.
After the break, Stonehill scored seven more times while limiting HU to only one goal in the half, 24-5.
Junior goalie
Jada Auletta (Montclair, N.J.) tallied seven saves and six ground balls while fellow classmate
Taylor Worsham (Severn, Md.) added four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
For Stonehill (4-10, 4-3 NEC), Lydia Rudden led the way with seven points (five assists and two goals).
On April 22, HU closes out its road slate at Wagner. Match time is scheduled for noon in Staten Island, N.Y.
