BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (April 12, 2023) – The Northeast Conference (NEC) unveiled its men's and women's golf weekly honors where Howard University swept the awards for the second consecutive week. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
Second-year Bison
Kendall Jackson (Pearland, Texas) and senior
Everett Whiten Jr. (Chesapeake, Va.) won NEC Golfers of the Week for the second straight week.
Jackson won the inaugural Lady Bison Invitational (April 10-11), hosted by HU, after shooting 1-under par (70-75-71, 216) at the Baltimore Country Club at Five Farms (par-72, 6127 yards). During the two-day, 54-hole event, the Texas native guided HU to a second-place finish.
Whiten finished sixth overall at the Princeton Invitational (April 8-9), hosted by the Tigers, after firing 5-under par (70-68-70) at the Springdale Golf Course (Par-71, 6444 yards) in Princeton, N.J. Additionally, the Virginia product led HU to an eight-place finish during the three-round event.

Gregory Odom Jr. (Memphis, Tenn.) and newcomer
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) made the NEC Prime Performers list.
Both squads travel to Daytona Beach, Fla., for the NEC Championships at the end of April.
