CARY, N.C. (March 17, 2023) – Howard University men's tennis team suffered its first conference loss of the season, falling to South Carolina State (SCSU), 7-0, in the annual Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Round Up at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
 
SCSU took the early match lead, winning two doubles matches.
 
In singles play, junior Justin Cadeau (West Orange, N.J.) served as the club's top singles player where he dropped a tough, three-set contest to South Carolina State's Aissa Benchakroun (6-1, 6-7, 0-1).
 
South Carolina State won the other singles matches in straight sets.
 
HU wraps up the round up with host North Carolina Central Saturday (March 18). First serve is set for noon at Cary Tennis Park.
