WASHINGTON (October 22, 2023) – Howard University men's soccer team picked up its second straight win, blanking Le Moyne, 2-0, at Greene Stadium.
With the victory, HU grabbed its first conference win of the season.
Despite being outshot, 9-6, Howard capitalized on its opportunities.
At the 32-minute mark, third-year Bison
Bryson Baker (Ellicott City, Md.) recorded his fourth goal of the season and gave HU a 1-0 halftime advantage.
Moments after intermission, D.C. native sophomore
Christian Rufael added an insurance goal, thanks to assists from graduate
Roy Henderson (Fredericksburg, Va.) and senior
Jackson Lewis (Alexandria, Va.), 2-0.
Senior goalie
Benjamin Hoesli (Bern, Switzerland) earned his first shutout victory of the season while tallying three saves.
