FAIRFAX, Va. (August 25, 2022) – Howard University women's soccer team fell to nearby George Mason, 3-1, after the Patriots scored three goals in 13 minutes.
 
HU (0-2-1) outshot the Patriots, 10-8, but George Mason (1-1-1) capitalized on its opportunities.
 
At the 33-minute mark, Rachel Eberly scored on an unassisted goal and put the Patriots ahead, 1-0.
 
Moments later, the Patriots' Brooke Volpi extended the margin before intermission, 2-0.
 
After halftime, George Mason's Zoe Vidaurre added an insurance goal, thanks to an assist by Milan Pierre-Jerome.
 
Sophomore 
Kendall France (Greensboro, N.C.) scored her first goal as a Bison before time expired, 3-1.
 
Junior 
Kennedy Jones (Flossmoor, Ill.) recorded a pair of saves in the loss.
 
Monday (August 29), the Bison wrap up its road swing at Longwood. Match time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
