ST. THOMAS, VIRGIN ISLANDS (November 18, 2022) - The Howard University men's basketball team will look to end a two-game skid when it takes on Buffalo in the second round of the Paradise Jam Saturday (Nov. 19) at 4:15 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The Bison (2-4) played an entertaining game in Friday's first round loss to Wyoming, 78-71. Howard and the Cowboys went toe-to-toe with the Bison using a 7-0 run to take their biggest lead of the game at 32-26 at intermission.
The Cowboys hurt Howard with some hot shooting in the second stanza, using a late run to pull away. The Bison had five players score in double figures to provide balance, but for the second game in a row, the bench was outscored, this time 28-18.
It must be noted that Howard has played the last three games without graduate
Kobe Dickson (Holcomb, Kan.) and senior
Khalil Robinson (Columbia, S.C.).
Buffalo (1-3) from the MAC conference dropped an 80-72 decision to Drake after leading by seven at the half. The Bulls were led by LaQuill Hardnett, who scored a game-high 27 points and Armond Foster and Yazid Powell, who contributed 16 and 15, respectively, in a losing cause.
Following this game, the Bison will either play Sunday (Nov. 20) at 2 p.m. or 4:15 p.m.
