NORTH EASTON, Mass. (October 13, 2022) – Howard University men's soccer team dropped a close, hard fought battle at Stonehill (3-9, 1-3 NEC), 1-0.
After a scoreless first half, the Skyhawks' Jarod Rapoza found the back of the net, thanks to an assist from Shane Fonseca.
HU (2-8-1, 1-2-1 NEC) took 13 shots overall, including 10 after intermission, but were unable to get on the board.
Reigning Northeast Conference Player of the Week
Bryson Baker (Ellicott City, Md.) led the way with a match-leading six shots in the loss.
Newcomer
JR Gawel (St. Mary's, Md.) had a match-best seven saves.
Howard closes out its brief road swing in Fairfield, Conn., against Sacred Heart. Match time is slated for 3:30 p.m.
