WASHINGTON (March 10, 2021) – Howard University women's volleyball team squares off against Delaware State (DSU) in a pair of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) contests. Thursday (March 11), HU hosts DSU inside Burr Gymnasium. The next night (March 12), the Lady Hornets welcome the Bison to Memorial Hall. Both nights are scheduled for 6 p.m. start times.

MATCHUP PREVIEW
This weekend's matches will be the first two meetings between HU and DSU this season. Both clubs are slated to meet again Monday (March 22) in Dover, Del., and Sunday (March 28) at The Burr.
HOWARD
HU (2-6, 1-5 MEAC) looks to get back in the win column and make a late season push. With the regular season dwindling, Howard seeks to make a charge for one of the top spots in the MEAC Northern Division.
Sophomore
Tamar Wells (Apopka, Fla.) and
Kayla Diaz (Nanuet, N.Y.) spearhead the young Bison, ranking among the league leaders in multiple categories.
DELAWARE STATE
DSU (4-2, 0-1 MEAC) seeks its first MEAC win of the season after dropping the league opener at Coppin State in straight sets Monday (March 8). Delaware State enters the weekend leading the conference in blocks per set (2.05).
Valeria Otero and Mayah Ngundam leads the Lady Hornets in kills, posting 3.21 and 2.21 kills per set, respectively.
LAST TIMEOUT
On March 8, Howard came up short against rival Morgan State, falling to the Lady Bears in five sets (15-25, 25-17, 14-25, 26-24, 10-15) at Hill Field House. Three Bison reached double-digit kills, led by Wells with a team-best 13.
UP NEXT
On March 18-19, Howard closes its home slate with another pair of league matches versus Morgan State. Both nights are scheduled for 6 p.m. at Burr Gymnasium.
