Going into set two, the Eagles started off very strong and the Bison lost a lot of momentum and trailed throughout. Despite efforts from rookie

Bouncing back in set three, HU started off on a high note with a kill from C. Woodard; however, N.C. Central found some momentum and kept the Bison on their toes at 15-13. A push from senior leader
Milexa Cardona (Kissimmee, Fla.) extended the lead after a pair of aces and then a kill from sophomore
Jennifer Bolden (Los Angeles) secured set three for the Bison, 25-17.
In the final set, Cardona struck first with back-to back aces and Howard took an early 6-2 lead. HU quickly started to close out the match and cruised to 13-8. N.C. Central started a comeback; however, a service ace from C. Woodard gave the Bison set point and a kill from Awojobi helped the Bison claim the set, 25-22, and match, 3-1.
Overall, HU finished with a .267 hitting percentage in the victory.
