TEANECK, N.J. (October 31, 2021) – Howard University men's soccer team fell in their road finale at Fairleigh Dickinson (FDU), 5-1.
FDU kept the pressure on throughout, outshooting the Bison, 21-6.
At the 30-minute mark, Diego Arribas scored off an assist from Tony Gomez and put the Knights ahead, 1-0.
Three minutes later (33'), FDU's Rocky Garretson extended the lead, 2-0.
HU would answer, thanks to sophomore
Sammy Oladeji (Arlington, Texas) scoring his fourth goal of the season and cutting the deficit to one, 2-1.
Moments before the half, Tony Gomez found the back of the net and gave the Knights a 3-1 advantage at the break.
After intermission, FDU added a pair of insurance goals to down the Bison.

Bryson Baker (Ellicott City, Md.) attempted two shots apiece while senior goalkeeper
Emery Simon (Elkhart, Ind.) recorded a match-leading seven saves in the loss.
For FDU (7-6-3, 5-1-2 NEC), they kept their playoff hopes alive with one week to go in the season.
HU (2-10-3, 1-6-1 NEC) meets Saint Francis (Pa.) for Senior Day. Match time is set for 1 p.m. at Greene Stadium.
