TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (July 15, 2020) – 2020 Billie Jean King Youth Leadership Award winner and Howard University junior Niah Woods (Cincinnati) joined Black News Channel (BNC), hosted by Anthony Amey, via Skype to discuss the honor of being presented with her award by the tennis legend and how she juggles the responsibilities of giving back while being a two-sport athlete at The Mecca.

The interview aired Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

About Woods

Niah Woods was a two-sport student-athlete (women's basketball and women's track & field) during her freshman and sophomore years at Howard and chose The Mecca because of its rich HBCU culture.

Recently, the Psychology major earned Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Commissioner's All-Academic and MEAC Indoor and Outdoor All-Academic honors.

Entering her junior campaign, the Cincinnati native plans to focus primarily with track and field.
