COLLEGE PARK, Md. (March 7, 2020) – After nearly two weeks away from competition, the Howard University women's tennis team returned to action where they were shutout on the road at Maryland, 0-7, in College Park, Md.
 
Sophomore 
Sloane Williams (Chicago) batted in singles competition, serving as the squad's No. 2 player, but unable to take down UMD's Adela Josefova (4-6, 6-7).
 
Junior 
Yassmine Khiri (Marrakesh, Morocco) faced the Terps' top singles player, Eva Alexandrova, where she was swept in two sets (1-6, 2-6).
 
In doubles play, HU fell to Maryland in all three matches.
 
With the loss, HU falls to 0-5 on the season.
 
The squad faces off against crosstown foe George Washington Thursday (March 12) at 2 p.m.
