CHARLOTTE, N.C. (February 4, 2020) – Howard University junior
Christian Nickolas (Brentwood, Calif.) won Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Women's Diver of the Week after her outstanding efforts against Siena. The announcement came Tuesday afternoon.
Nickolas won her first weekly award of the season after grabbing first place in the women's 1-meter dive, scoring 250.50. Additionally, she finished runner-up in the 3-meter dive while recording the third-best score (234.98) in school history.
This season, the California native has racked up nine first-place finishes, including seven in the 1-meter dive, while earning her second trip to the NCAA Diving Championships.
Gardner-Webb's Jordan Mintz and Mary Traylor took home CCSA Men's and Women's Swimmers of the Week.
On Feb. 19-22, the Bison travel to Knoxville, Tenn., for the 2020 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships.
