From that point on, Howard locked down defensively and closed the quarter on a 16-9 spurt to take a seven-point halftime advantage, 35-28.

CSU outscored HU in the third, 14-16, and cut the contest to one-possession moments into the fourth, 49-46, but Howard clamped down on the defensive end again.

HU scored 10 unanswered and put the game out-of-reach after holding the Eagles under 19-percent (3-of-16) in the fourth.
