WASHINGTON (April 7, 2019) – Howard University women's lacrosse dropped its Sunday matinee contest against Central Michigan (CMU), 20-1, inside Greene Stadium.
CMU outscored the Bison before halftime, 13-1, and held HU scoreless after intermission.
In the first period, freshman standout
Sydney Saunders (Baltimore) found a cutting sophomore
Lailah Robey (Chesapeake Bay, Md.) for Howard's lone goal at the 17:03 mark.

Lauryn Smith (Philadelphia) each registered a draw control while sophomores
Shelby Lee (Bowie, Md.) and
Terie Young (Dallas) scooped up ground balls. Lee also caused a turnover in the loss.
Defensively, freshman
Andrea Fievre (Snellville, Ga.) produced seven saves in a losing effort.
For Central Michigan (5-7), they had 11 Chippewas score, led by Anna Schoonover with four goals. Tyra Prince added four assists in the victory.
Next weekend, Coach
Karli Brentlinger and the Bison continue league play.
Friday (April 12), HU takes on Stetson at 1 p.m. Two days later (April 14), Howard hits the road to face Kent State. Match time is slated for 11 a.m.
