LYNCHBURG, Va. (April 26, 2019) – Howard University women's lacrosse dropped its road finale at Liberty (LU), 22-0.
LU (13-4, 5-1 ASUN) attacked early and often, scoring 17 goals in the first half. After intermission, the Lady Flames added five more scores.
Overall, HU (0-13, 0-5 ASUN) scooped up six ground balls, led by newcomer
Andrea Fievre (Snellville, Ga.) with three. The Georgia native also had seven saves in the loss.
Second-year midfielder
Jillian Jones (Fresno, Calif.) won two draw controls in a losing effort.
Liberty's Kaitlyn Cassidy-Fischetti and Anna Keebler led the Lady Flames with three goals apiece in the victory.
Sunday (April 28), the Bison host Kennesaw State for Senior Day. The action starts 11 a.m. at Greene Stadium.
