KENT, Ohio (April 14, 2019) – Howard University women's lacrosse dropped its road contest at Kent State (KSU), 17-1, inside Dix Stadium.
KSU (2-13, 1-3 ASUN) scored twice after intermission, but sophomore
Tiffany Hunt (Bridgewater, N.J.) got HU on the board with 19:06 remaining.
HU (0-10, 0-4 ASUN) scooped up eight ground balls, led by second-year defender
Marquia Walker (Bradenton, Fla.) with three.
Sophomore
Lailah Robey (Chesapeake Beach, Md.) recorded two ground balls and two draw controls while fellow classmate
Jillian Jones (Fresno, Calif.) added a pair of GBs and cause turnovers in the loss.
Kent State's Lluna Katz had a match-high four goals in the victory.
Howard's road swing continues with a pair of matchups in South Carolina.
Thursday (April 18), HU goes to Spartanburg, S.C. to face Wofford. Match time is set for 5 p.m. Two days later (April 20), the Bison meet Furman at 11 a.m.
