CONWAY, S.C. (March 29, 2019) – Howard University sophomore
Jillian Jones (Fresno, Calif.) scored two goals, but HU fell on the road against Coastal Carolina, 26-2, at Brooks Stadium.
With less than 10 minutes before intermission, Jones recorded HU's first goal of the match.
After intermission, the California native registered her second goal at the 7:29 mark.
On the day, Howard scooped up seven ground balls, led by senior
Lauryn Smith (Philadelphia) and freshman
Andrea Fievre (Snellville, Ga.) with two apiece. Defensively, the Georgia product had a match-best seven saves.
Sophomore
Lailah Robey (Chesapeake Bay, Md.) won two draw controls in a losing effort.
Sunday (April 7), HU (0-5, 0-2 ASUN) takes on Central Michigan. Match time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
