WASHINGTON - Howard men's tennis (1-8) fell to Longwood (10-5) on Sunday as the team celebrated Senior Day. The Bison hosted the Lancers at Banneker Tennis Courts. The match began at 1 p.m.

Howard's Roger Lyn took his singles match to the tie breaker after winning 6-3 against Amadeo Blasco. Blasco is the Lancers top player.

Devaughn Blackburn took a win by walkover victory against Marc Casanovas in the singles No. 6 spot.

In the doubles competition, the Bison were swept by the Lancers.

Head coach Larry Strickland recognized men's senior Karim Shokeir during Senior Day for his commitment to the program.

The Bison continue their season on Wednesday, March 27. They will travel to Baltimore to face Loyola at 3 p.m.
