WASHINGTON (February 20, 2019) – With nearly a month of training, the Howard University men's & women's swimming & diving squads are primed to make some noise at the 2019 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships. The four-day (Feb. 20-23) event takes place on the campus of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.

LAST MEET
HU concluded the regular season by sweeping crosstown rival Catholic (Jan. 26).
For the men, senior
Alexander Barnes (Rockledge, Fla.) and sophomore
Kegan Ford (Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago) led the way with a pair of individual victories.
On the women's side, seniors
KaSandra Kaplan (Detroit) and
Latroya Pina (Seeknok, Mass.) and freshmen
Madison Freeland (Glenside, Pa.) and
Myka Thomas (Philadelphia) each won two individual events on the day.
BISON TO WATCH
The meet features several Bison competing in their final collegiate meet.
Kaplan spearheads the women's side as the most decorated swimmer in program history. Pina seeks to leave her mark while Barnes also looks to cap off an outstanding career for Howard.
