February 18, 2019 - Howard University women's tennis faced Navy and Virginia Commonwealth (VCU) over the weekend, losing both matches on the road.
Howard dropped their first match to Navy, 7-0, on Saturday, February 16 at the Tose Family Tennis Center in Annapolis, Maryland. Howard women's tennis coach
Larry Strickland commented on the defeat at the Naval Academy, saying, "We are continuing to play short handedly against a very deep Navy. The young ladies are putting in a major effort and will only get better."
The Bison lost all six of their singles matches and each of their three doubles.

After playing Navy on Saturday, the Bison traveled to Richmond, Virginia, to play VCU on Sunday, February 17. The Bison were shutout by the Rams, losing all six of their singles matches and three doubles games.
