NORFOLK, Va. (December 17, 2019) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its women's basketball weekly honors where Howard University senior guard Sarah Edmond (Freeport, N.Y.) took home a share of the league's top award. The announcement came Tuesday.

For the second time this season, Edmond earned Co-MEAC Player of the Week after leading the Bison to a pair of victories versus Niagara (Dec. 14) and at East Carolina (Dec. 16). The New York native averaged 21 points on 58-percent (14-of-24) shooting from the floor, including 54-percent (7-of-13) from behind the arc, in the two-game span.

Saturday (Dec. 14), Edmond posted a season-best 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting, including 5-of-6 from downtown, against the Purple Eagles. Two nights later (Dec. 16), she filled the stat sheet, finishing with a game-high 17 points, nine boards, four assists and four steals in the road win at East Carolina.
