CHARLOTTE, N.C. (December 10, 2019) – Howard University senior Leanne McMaster (Kingston, Jamaica) claimed Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Women's Swimmer of the Week after outstanding performances at the H2ounds Invitational, hosted by Loyola (Md.). The announcement came Tuesday afternoon.
 
McMaster earned her first CCSA weekly award after etching herself into the school's record book.
 
Individually, the Jamaica native landed eighth in the program's 100 Breaststroke list, clocking in at 1:08.53, while placing 12^th overall. She also earned the eighth-fastest time in the school's 200 Breaststroke, recording a 2:29.32 mark, and 11^th overall in the event.
 
Incarnate Word's Hector Ruvalcaba Cruz earned CCSA Male Swimmer of the Week honors for the second time this season.

Howard returns to the pool in 2020 when they travel back to Baltimore to face UMBC in a duel meet. Saturday's (Jan. 4) first race is set for 2 p.m.
