NORFOLK, Va., Nov. 26, 2019 – Howard University's Dedrick Parson, Kyle Anthony, and Michael Cronwell collected postseason honors, as they were named to the 2019 All-MEAC team. The team was voted on by the MEAC's head football coaches and sports information directors.
Howard's no. 31 Parson (running back - 5'8 - 195 lbs. - Philadelphia, Pa.) - the redshirt sophomore, recorded a season-high 847 yards on 220 attempts and five touchdowns. He added 22 receptions for 185 yards. He recorded a career-high 172 yards versus Morgan State University.
HU's Anthony (wide receiver - 6'3 - 205 lbs - Miramar, Fla.) - a graduating senior, finished his career as Howard's all-time career reception leader. Anthony amassed 70 receptions for 786 yards and seven touchdowns. He recorded a career-high 12-receptions versus Hampton University on Sept. 14 in Chicago, Ill.
Howard's Cronwell (tight end - 6'3 - 230 lbs - Owen Mills, Md.) - a graduate student, in his lone season as a Bison, he grabbed 28 receptions for 415 yards and four touchdowns. He recorded a season-best, five catches versus Delaware State University on Sept. 21 in Dover, Del.
In a partnership with the National Football Foundation (NFF) and the College Hall of Fame, the league's offensive and defensive players of the year will be announced as part of the festivities surrounding the 62nd NFF Annual Awards Dinner, Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the Hilton Midtown in New York City. The event will be streamed live at 9:30 a.m. on the NFF's website.
