BALTIMORE (November 1, 2019) – Howard University women's volleyball team suffered its first conference loss at the hand of Morgan State (MSU) in straight sets (24-26, 20-25, 11-25) inside the Hill Field House.
With the setback, HU fell to 12-12 (9-1 MEAC) while the Lady Bears improved to 13-11 (7-4 MEAC) on the season.
Morgan State took set one despite 12 ties and five lead changes. Game two witnessed the Lady Bears eclipse a .290 hitting percentage while HU was held to .152.
After trailing 2-0 in the match, HU could not find its rhythm, accumulating a negative .074 hitting percentage with seven attack errors.

Fola Wilson (Minneapolis) had a match-leading 18 digs while freshman
Kayla Diaz registered 16 assists in the loss.
For Morgan State, Zoe McBride led the Bears with a double-double, 18 kills (match-best) and 10 digs, in the victory.
Sunday (Nov. 3), Howard returns to Baltimore where Coppin State awaits. Match time is slated for 1 p.m.
