TAMPA, Fla. (November 12, 2019) – Howard University women's basketball team suffered its first road loss of the season at No. 25 South Florida (USF), 82-53, inside the Yuengling Center.
With the setback, HU drops to 1-2 while the Bulls remain unbeaten on the young season (3-0).
Senior
Sarah Edmond (Freeport, N.Y.) led the Bison attack with a game-high 16 points before fouling out.
Howard trailed only six after one, 14-20, but the Bison were unable to get into a rhythm. In the second quarter, HU shot only 21-percent (3-of-14) from the field; thus, South Florida took advantage and extend its lead to double digits at halftime, 22-43.
HU battled in the second half, but the deficit was too much to overcome.

Ayonna Williams (Washington) added 11 points and seven boards in the loss.
