Football Returns to Action versus Harvard

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Howard football will return to the road to face Harvard University at the historic Harvard Stadium Saturday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcasted live on ESPN+ and carried over the radio on WHUR.


The Bison is coming off a 37-29 loss in its MEAC home opener against Bethune-Cookman, while the Crimson won their Ivy League opener 42-7 against Brown.

What to Know:

 

This is the first-ever matchup between the two institutions 

Quinton Williams was name Week 5 MEAC Freshman of the Week after a four-touchdown performance versus Bethune-Cookman in his first start

Howard's plays their fourth road games in five weeks; opened the season with three straight road games

Kyle Anthony enters Saturday game with 169 career receptions which means he needs 16 to become the all-time leader in Howard history surpassing Gary Harrell and he needs one catch to move up to 12th on the all-time MEAC list

It's homecoming weekend for the Bison. Howard will welcome Norfolk State for a 1 p.m. start. 
 

Bison will start the week hosting the Bison Madness. 


The Bison Madness will start at 7:00 p.m. doors will open at 6:15 p.m. fans will have the opportunity to sign up for a chance to win $10,000 sponsored by Shorty Corleone, sign-up will be located outside of Burr Gymnasium from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. anyone over the age 18 is eligible. Pre-madness activities will begin at 5 p.m. with a live D.J., all events on this day are free. Bison Madness - Quad Edition will introduce the 2019-20 Men's and Women's Basketball teams, will also feature special performances and special appearances.
