HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (October 25, 2019) – Howard University women's soccer team suffered its first setback in league play with a 2-1 loss at the hand of Alabama A&M (AAMU).
With the setback, HU (11-3, 8-1 SWAC) saw its 16-match winning streak in conference play come to an end.
Sophomore
Thalia Boucher (Toronto, Canada) put Howard on the board first, 1-0.
After intermission, AAMU tied the contest after a goal from Iris Torres, 1-1.
In the waning moments, the Bulldogs' Jameela Barrett delivered a goal at the 85-minute mark to down HU, 2-1.
Sunday (Oct. 27), the Bison wrap up league play against Alabama State (ASU). The action starts 2 p.m. (ET)/ 1 p.m. (CT) in Montgomery, Ala.
