MURFREESBORO, N.C. (October 19, 2019) – Howard University women's swim team picked up a big road win at Chowan, 140-116, and remain unbeaten on the young season (2-0).
Collectively, the Bison grabbed 11 first-place victories (nine individual and two relays).
HU opened and closed the afternoon with wins in the relays.
The 200 Medley Relay squad of sophomore
India Jackson (Philadelphia) and freshmen
Courtney Connolly (White Lake, Mich.),
Genesis Lewis (Valenica, Calif.) and
Breyahna Tyme (Ontario, Canada) won with a 2:06.62 time.
The nightcap witnessed seniors
Leanne McMaster (Kingston, Jamaica) and
Skylar Smith (Los Angeles), junior
DeAngela Fobbs (Upper Marlboro, Md.) and newcomer
Tiffanee Moore (Tallahassee, Fla.) claim first in the women's 200 Free Relay, clocking in at 1:55.72.
Individually, Tyme picked a pair of victories in the 50 Back (32.36) and 100 Back (1:09.12).

Saturday (Oct. 26), Howard returns to The Hilltop where they will begin a three-meet home stand against Mary Washington. Meet time is slated for 1 p.m. inside Burr Gym Pool.
