WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Howard University Andre Gomez continues his strong season connecting on his sixth goal of the season, off of his rebound in the 57th minute to defeat George Washington University 1-0 Tuesday afternoon on the Mount Vernon Campus.
Howard improves to (3-8-1) GW falls to (3-9-1).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- 57th Minute: Gomez scored what turned out to be the game's lone goal. GW keeper Justin Grady came up with the initial save, but the Howard forward stuck with the play and drilled home his rebound
- GW outshot the Bison 20-7, and corner kicks 12-1
- Carlos Caro recorded eight saves in the win.
UP NEXT: The Bison will return to conference play Saturday versus Georgia State for a 1 pm tilt at Greene Stadium.
