WASHINGTON (September 22, 2018) – Howard University Men's Soccer team opened its three-match home stand with a narrow 1-0 loss at the hands of Robert Morris (RMU).
Senior
Victor Guirma (New Paltz, N.Y.) led the way, taking a team-leading three shots. Freshman
Joshua Kalubyaka (Germantown, Md.) had two opportunities while senior Lloyd Pierce (Trinidad & Tobago) and
Franchino Chambers (Atlanta) each took a shot in the loss.
After a scoreless first half, RMU broke the tie with a bicycle-kick goal from Kai Olguin at the 76-minute mark.
Junior
Carlos Caro (Spring Silver, Md.) registered three saves in a losing effort.
Saturday (Sept. 29), the Bison continue its home stand against Virginia Military Institute (VMI). Match time is slated for 5 p.m.
