NORFOLK, Va. (April 11, 2018) – Howard University freshman jumper
Rachel Edler earned Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Co-Field Performer of the Week after an outstanding performance at the Gamecock Invitational, hosted by the University of South Carolina. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
Saturday (April 7), the Georgia native jumped a personal best while placing second in the women's triple jump with a 39-5 feet mark. As of today, the outing ranks four-best in the conference.
Edler shared the weekly honor with Bethune-Cookman's Jaqueline Thomas.
Senior
Mohamed Bah and sophomore
Uchechi Onuoha each earned honorable mention. Bah placed sixth in the 800-meter dash with a time of 1:53.98 while Onuoha took second in the 400-meter hurdles (1:00.49).
