ATHENS, Ga. (February 15, 2018) – Coach
Nicholas Askew and the Howard University Men's Swim team saw three school records topped at the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships in Athens, Ga.
Individually, freshman
Darrin Asphall broke the 500-yard freestyle with a 4:40.89 time. Sophomore
Sidrell Williams eclipsed the men's 50 free, posting a 20.64 mark.

Kegan Ford took part in the men's 200 freestyle where they registered a new school record (1:24.12).
Ford also had the eighth-fastest time in the men's 50 freestyle (21.51).

Nicholas Haughton and
Mark McCluskey, sophomore
Don Brazelton, and freshman
William Smith produced the fourth quickest mark in program history (1:25.66).

Jon Bendana each entered the school's record book with top 10 entries in the 200 IM. Currently, Smith holds the tenth spot while Bendana claimed third all-time.
Junior
Farion Cooper placed tenth all-time in the men's 100-yard breaststroke.
With the four records fall today, that brings this year's total to 14 new school record holders. A year ago, the Bison shattered 13 overall.
Coach Askew and the Bison return tomorrow (Feb. 16) for the CCSA Championships Day Three.
